My sleeveless, black button down shirt is getting a lot of summer love…. I read in a style magazine a few years ago that if you want to prudently, cost-effectively, and qualitatively shop for clothes, you should look for pieces that you can wear on a weekday afternoon instead of gravitating to something you wear on a weekend night. This makes so much sense to me even if I am very guilty of this (I can’t help it, shiny, pretty things catch my eye). The shirt I’m wearing was easily remixed before with my denim shorts. It’s a great piece; not only can it be worn casually with shorts and jeans, but it also works with my workwear. I wore it today with my color blocked skirt. Lovely, but still work appropriate. By the way, aren’t the cut-out details of my shoes darling? I love these tiny little details!!!

Top: Marshalls, Skirt + Belt: Forever 21, Shoes: Guess, Bag: Olivia and Joy, Bracelet: Jewelmint
